[UPDATE 3/10/17] Amherst Police detectives say that after releasing
the surveillance photo of the bank robbery suspect to the public, the
FBI and Amherst Police received numerous tips. After an investigation
Thomas Cascio, age 51 from Cheektowaga was arrested in connection with
the robbery at the Key Bank 5100 Main Street. [AMHERST, NY] - The
Amherst Police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred at the
Key Bank 5200 Main Street at the corner of South Forest Road in
Williamsville. On March 6, 2017 at around 1:00 pm in the afternoon a
white male entered the bank, presented a note demanding money and took
an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect then left the bank on foot
and possibly got into an older dark colored SUV and left the area in an
unknown direction. Anyone that has information regarding this crime is
asked to contact the Amherst Police Detective Bureau at

- White Male
- 45-55 years of age
- Medium Build
- Grey Hair
- 5’10” Tall
- 200 Lbs
- Last Seen Wearing black coat with orange safety vest and yellow construction style hard helmet, glasses, which appeared to be safety glasses.
