Facebook Harassment Spills to Real World Violence
WHEATFIELD NY - On March 16, 2016 at 2231 hours the Niagara County Sheriff's Office responded to 2536 Stoelting Street in the Town of Wheatfield for an assault in progress complaint. On patrol arrival, it was discovered that two victims had suffered stab wounds after an altercation with individuals who had shown up at their residence to allegedly settle a personal dispute that had started during Facebook messaging.
The first victim was a teenage male who suffered lacerations to his left arm and was treated at the scene. The second victim, who is the stepfather of first victim, was stabbed in the abdomen and airlifted by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center. Both injuries are non life threatening. After the assault, the suspects fled the scene in a green Jeep with a broken rear window. An observant patrol deputy located the vehicle unoccupied in the WalMart parking lot on Military Road in the City of Niagara Falls. The suspects were located inside the store by Sheriff's Deputies, State Troopers, and several other assisting local agencies.
After investigation, two males, Kim Bradley, 17, and Eduardo Martinez, 19, both of Niagara Falls were charged with Assault 2nd degree. They were arraigned in Wheatfield Town Court on the above charges and bail was placed at $20,0000 on both subjects. Return date is March 23, 2016 at 1300 hours in Wheatfield Court. Additional charges may be pending.
